Kaffeepflückerin sources specialty coffee such as :
Wush Wush,This is a farmed coffee variety hailing from Ethiopia, it arrived in South America around 30 years ago, today, it can be found in Colombia, where the altitude and fertile growing conditions support the fruitier, delicate, and floral cup profiles that coffee lovers expect from these rarer, more sought-after varieties.
Cup Profile unique flavour, with notes like blueberries, vanilla, maple and lavender. Sometimes it would have spicy or botanical notes, as well as flavours of unripe strawberries. Wush Wush is definitely a perfect coffee, it is natural processed, and fermented for 120 hours before being dried on raised beds, to allow the sweetness to develop and give the coffee an almost candy-like intensity, just like a watermelon but also strawberry and floral notes. Wush Wush fits perfectly in the Colombian mild category, it has unique sensory qualities that specialty coffee lovers often look for in the cup. When browsing into Kaffeepflückerin Coffees, always keep an eye out for this unique coffee !
Pink Bourbon, It’s common to hear that Pink Bourbon is a natural hybrid of Red and Yellow Bourbon varieties. Pink Bourbon is likely to have come from an Ethiopian / La Reunion landrace variety. Even in optimal environmental conditions, it is challenging to grow successfully.
Cup Profile Pink Bourbon not only stands out for its strikingly-coloured cherries, but also for its sweet and complex flavour profile. It’s usually more acidic – like citrus fruit flavours ,with delicate notes of white florals and honey-like sweetness, Pink Bourbon usually cups similarly to Panamanian Geshas with floral, pink lemonade, honeysuckle, and jasmine flavour notes, and a very elegant silky texture. Sometimes more tropical tasting notes, such as cacao, pineapple, blackberries, peach, papaya, and melon, as well as more floral notes such as rose, and green tea,I t’s a very complex but balanced coffee in terms of body and acidity.
The Pink Bourbon we source in Colombia is processed mostly using the natural technique, which is our favorite!
